About Patiṉeṇ kīḻkkaṇakku - aintiṇai'aimpatu

Aintiṇai Aimpatu (fifty stanzas about the fivefold landscape-love behaviour) consists of poems belonging to the akam genre. There are fifty stanzas in this work with ten stanzas allotted to each of the five tiṇais (in the order of mullai, kuṟiñci, marutam, pālai, neytal). This is the only work of Patiṉeṇkīḻkkaṇakku which begins mullaittiṇai.

Its author is Puḷḷi Māṟaṉ Poṟaiyaṉār. While a majority of the stanzas are composed in nēricai veṇpā metre, some stanzas are in iṉṉicai veṇpā metre. Given the limited scope of the veṇpā structure, the akam events are portrayed in a condensed manner.
