About Iṟaiyaṉār kaḷaviyal (Grammar)

Iṟaiyaṉār Kaḷaviyal also known as Iṟaiyaṉār Akapporuḷ is a treatise on akam love. It was written by Iṟaiyaṉār. It contains 60 verses in the nūṟpā formulaic pattern, among which the first 33 verses deal with clandestine (premarital) love while the remaing 27 verses are on wedded love carrier. This work has the well known commentary, Iṟaiyaṉār Kaḷaviyal urai, by Nakkīrar.
